Danny's Thoughts

The New Year Begins…

I hope everyone had a great holiday. I would like to share my thoughts as I look into the New Year.  From my prospective, business will be slightly better than 2010 but more-or-less flat. The problems I see are possible increases in energy. They are being predicated by nearly every analyst, which means asphalt in our business and related petroleum products. This will mean price increases should arrive mid/late of the 1st Quarter and most definitely by the beginning 2nd Quarter. So in planning your business, be careful to watch for increases on roofing products as oil prices move up. There may be some shortages as there was in 2010 on miscellaneous products, so lead times on projects will become more important.

To our reps, I'm looking forward to seeing you in January for the National Sales Meeting.
For our customers and suppliers, I'm looking forward to seeing you at the IRE Show in Vegas; we will be at booth #1406.

I wish you all a healthy, happy and prosperous 2011.

Until next time…

My Best Regards,

Danny's ThoughtsExciting But Cautious...

With the 1st Quarter of 2012 behind us, I am both excited and cautious. I am excited because U.S. Ply got off to the best start in the history of the company, but I am cautious because....
